Usage 1. Sodium tripolyphosphate can increase the tenderness of meat and can also be used as a food improver for fish products and a clarifier for beverages. 2. Texturizer; emulsifier; buffer; chelating agent; stabilizer. Mainly used for tenderizing canned ham and softening bean skin in canned broad beans. Also used as water softener, pH regulator and thickener. 3. Sodium tripolyphosphate is used in detergents as an additive, soap synergist, and to prevent bar soap from crystallizing and blooming. It is also a water softener for industrial water, a pretanning agent for leather making, a dyeing auxiliaries, a mud control agent for oil wells, an oil pollution prevention agent for paper making, and an effective dispersant for the treatment of suspensions such as paint, kaolin, magnesium oxide, and calcium carbonate. Food grade sodium tripolyphosphate can be used as a food improver for various fish products and a clarifier for beverages.

Product Description

Sodium tripolyphosphate, also known as pentasodium phosphate, sodium pyrometaphosphate, STPP, pentasodium tripolyphosphate. White powdery crystals, good fluidity, relative molecular mass 367.86, melting point 622„, easily soluble in water, its aqueous solution is alkaline. Commonly used in food as a moisture retainer, quality improver, pH regulator, metal chelator. Sodium tripolyphosphate aqueous solution is weakly alkaline (the pH value of 1% aqueous solution is about 9.7), it forms a suspension (similar to an emulsion) in water with a pH range of 4.3 to 14, that is, a dispersion effect. Sodium tripolyphosphate can also make liquid and solid particles better soluble in liquid (such as water) media, making the solution completely transparent, like a real solution, which is the solubilization effect. Because sodium tripolyphosphate has the above unique properties, it has become an important and ideal raw material in washing powder.
